The Vineyards!!

Antonelli San Marco
Antonelli San Marco is a wine and farming estate which extends over an entire 170 hectares located centrally within Montefalco's DOCG winemaking area in Umbria. With a background rich in history, the Antonelli family is passionately committed to caring for their territory and attentive to the quality of their products. The estate style is geared towards authenticity and harmony, drinkability and elegance rather than blunt power. It leans towards gentle extraction and moderate use of wood ageing.  The wines are made exclusively from the estate's organically grown grapes.

The Wines!!

 Grechetto Colli Martani 2015 $15.99

Grechetto is the main autochthonous white varietal of Umbria. Opens with elegance to the nose: fresh, fruity and floral with notes of citrus, peach, almond and hawthorn blossom. The taste has good structure and is pleasantly fresh.

"Baiocco" Sangiovese IGT Umbria 2015 $13.99

The baiocco is an ancient coin of the Papal States, of which Umbria was a part of.  The nose opens with fruity and floral notes of cherry and red fruit; on the palate it is lively and balanced with a pleasant and fresh fruity finish. An everyday value wine!

 Montefalco Rosso 2013 $19.99

Traditional wine made by blending Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Montepulciano.
Olfactory impact intense and fruity, with hints of cherry and wild berries. To the palate it is dry, balanced and well structured. The freshness provided by the Sangiovese gives it an excellent drinkability.

 Montefalco Sagrantino 2011 $39.99

The traditional wine of Montefalco, made exclusively from Sagrantino grapes, vines grown for centuries on the slopes of the Umbrian hills characterised by great structure and longevity.  To the nose rich and powerful, ethereal and very complex. Typically characterised by notes of fruit and aromatic herbs, featuring citrus, cherry, wild berry, mint and oregano. On the palate this wine is very structured, with firm and persistent tannins. A wine that is best expressed with a long bottle aging. Pair with grilled and roast meats, stewed red meats, game and mature hard cheeses.

 Montefalco Sagrantino Passito 2009 $33.99

Sweet wine made from semi-dried grapes. The traditional version of Montefalco Sagrantino. The name derives from the Latin “sacer”: a holy wine destined for consumption during the Christian festivals.
Rich and complex to the nose, with notes of cherries, wild berry jam, candied citrus peel and spices. To the taste it’s an amazing wine, where it begins sweet and then gives way to a fresh finish with an aromatic persistence to the nose.
