Conn Creek is a boutique winery on the Silverado Trail in the Rutherford District, for more than 40 years, the winery has focused almost solely on Cabernet Sauvignon. They are famous for their upper end Cabernets ($90 - $150) the most famous being Anthology.

Over the years a number of you have enjoyed their red blend “The Herrick” think of this bottling as an older, wiser, and ripped big brother!

The Wine Enthusiast

"Pencil shaving and graphite notes lend a classic edge to this 100% varietal wine that's sourced from throughout the valley. Juicy huckleberry flavor meets a background of grippy tannin and oak, giving it chewiness and weight, lifted by acidity."

The Wine Advocate says....

"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley has slightly more intensity and richness, with supple tannins, a deep ruby/purple color, good, ripe blackcurrant fruit and spice box. It’s meant to be drunk over the next 7-8 years." (RP)

Our Thoughts on this wine.....

This Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon  is a rich and elegant red wine that displays flavors of fruit and chocolate. The nose and palate display black cherries, plums, rich dark chocolate, toasted coffee beans. These luxurious flavors blend excellently with the full texture of this wine.

Conn Creek Winery –
a unique gem in the heart of the Napa Valley

Conn Creek’s enduring commitment to Bordeaux-styled red wines started in 1973 when it was founded by Bill and Kathy Collins. Conn Creek was among a small group leading a renaissance of the Napa Valley and played an important part in establishing Napa Valley’s reputation as a fine wine growing region. In 1979, the Collins family built what is now Conn Creek Winery in the Rutherford appellation. This energy-efficient facility was perhaps the first “green” winery building in Napa Valley and includes 12”-thick walls made of Styrofoam, steel mesh, gunite and a total of 20,000 corks. Today, nearly 40 years after its founding, Conn Creek is still focused on what Napa Valley does best: Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals.

WINEMAKER Mike McGrath
Before winemaker Mike McGrath parked his backpack in Napa in 1982, he spent 13 years in Argentina, logged 20,000 miles on a bicycle in Australia, and explored the backroads of Peru. Mike graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in fermentation science in 1978 and soon found it was the art of winemaking he loved, working at Charles Krug and later at William Hill. At Conn Creek Winery he's found success with a winemaking style that results in lush, elegant wines.

“California grapes have so much flavor, and they have the opportunity in most vintages to become very ripe. The challenge as a winemaker is to capture them at the optimum point: at the peak of flavor and the threshold of ripeness."
