The Vineyard!!

At Owen Roe, we are committed to practicing the highest standards of winemaking. Since our first vintage in 1999, our goal has been simple; to produce beautiful wines from superior sites in the Pacific Northwest. A place where the fruit ripens slowly and fully, resulting in excellent acidity and balance. All of our grapes are hand harvested, handled with minimal processing, small-lot fermented and aged in French oak barrels.

In these images, winery owners (from left to right: Julie and Ben Wolff, David and Angelica O'Reilly) are shown breaking ground in Union Gap for our 2013 winery project. Completion of the first phase was September 2013, allowing our crew to prepare for blending and Spring bottling. Our new winery is now home to our Washington wine production and will become a destination winery for visitors to the Yakima Valley, through our future events and tasting room.

The Wines!!
Ryan Patrick Unoaked Chardonnay $14.99
an approachable, savory and refreshing style of Chardonnay, sourcing fruit from warmer sites in the Columbia Valley to lend a rich and ripe profile to the wine. Malolactic fermentation, along with sur lie aging, allows for savory characters to develop, while tank fermentation maintains fresh acidity. Aromas of ripe pear and apple with a hint of apricot and pineapple. A refreshing yet savory entry with a fresh fruit driven mid palate and an elegant finish.

Ryan Patrick Riesling $14.99
“Olsen Brothers Vineyard attains the ripe character we consistently like in our Riesling. The acid and sugar balance is complementary to the fruit characters in the wine. We designated this single vineyard Riesling to capture the distinct expression of Yakima Valley fruit. – Jeremy Santo, Winemaker.
Aroma: Ripe pear, white peach and orange blossom with hints of fresh apples and mineral undertones.
Flavor: A pleasing round entry with fresh acidity, a fruit driven mid palate and a clean refreshing finish.

Owen Roe Abbot's Table $31.99
A beautiful garnet red hue is luscious with bursting aromas of black currants, blueberry and cherry. A layer of white pepper spice and tobacco are interlaced with gripping acidity, roasted red pepper and earth notes. This bright red blend is youthful and shows great cellaring potential! 14.1ABV

Owen Roe Ex Umbris Syrah $29.99
The color of deep eggplant, this beautiful bold Syrah will keep our Ex Umbris fans wanting more! If the nose filled with dark chocolate, hazelnut and caramel aromas isn't enough, the robust plum, black cherry, licorice and hints of tobacco will surely please any palate. Pair with blackened, grilled ribeye, a juicy leg of lamb or your family slow-cooker stew. This Syrah will age and is still quite youthful with gripping tannins and layers of dusty earth. We recommend decanting and enjoying with a hearty meal and holding onto a few bottles to open in a few years. Approximate cellaring time - 12+ years.14.3 ABV

Owen Roe Sharecroppers' Cabernet Sauvignon $21.99
Everyone’s favorite go-to weeknight Cab shines in 2015. Bright aromas of blackberry, candied fruit, vanilla and brown sugar leads to a more savory palate of pomegranate, green pepper and oil cured olives. This Cabernet finishes with bright acidity and lingering tannins. We recommend opening this wine now and enjoying it at a young age, however, this will age well for 4-6 years when properly cellared. 14.1ABV

And, of course, The Beers!!
Melo Lion "Ornery" Carbonated Mead $8.99
Ornery is a 6.5% ABV, dry to slightly sweet, carbonated mead made with honey from Chesapeake, Virginia. It has subtle notes of clover and lemon giving it a distinct flavor profile.

Wild Wolf "Czeched Out" Pilsener 6 pack $13.99

Virginia Green Brewery of the Year 2015 & 2016!!
5% ABV | 28 IBU.
Brewed with traditional Saaz hops, this Czech style Pils is exceptionally crisp and clean. Straw in color, with a toasted, bready malt aroma and medium hop bitterness.

SixPoint Brewery Hi-Res Triple IPA 4 pack $13.99

4.2 BeerAdvocate "Outstanding"; 95 points RateBeer
11.1 ABV 120 IBU

Let’s talk optics. The study of light, and the eyeball… aka the prism that sends images blasting through your dome like a movie projector. As technology advances, resolution increases, so we can see the bigger picture AND the finer details. We’re increasing the view -- in BOTH directions… Magnify the hop factor, amplify perception. Study the hop cone up close… this shiz is Hi-Resolution. We went microscopic; we got a grander view. Crack a HI-RES and widen your scope, both directions.
