The Wines!!

Steorra Brut NV Sparkling $22.99
A lover of champagne, Joe Wagner has long wanted to create a classic sparkling wine using Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit. It’s Steorra, his first-ever sparkling wine, takes its name from the Old English word for ‘star’ and is a non-vintage Brut style sparkling sourced from Sonoma County’s cool-climate Russian River Valley esteemed for these grape varieties. Steorra is made in an elegant soft style with a fine bead and universally appealing flavors of lemon sherbet, luscious cream, subtle toastiness and a fresh finish.

Carne Humana White $17.99
co-fermented and barrel-aged as a single blend. It is pale straw with brilliant green hues, has intense fruit aromas of citrus blossom, melon, pineapple and guava with hints of flint or wet river stones. Crisp and dry on the palate with a focused acidity, hints of minerality and tropical fruit highlights. It is medium-bodied with a long, fresh finish.

Boen Pinot Noir Russian River Valley $26.99
“Pinot Noir seems to showcase the location of where its grown, along with the vintage, more so than any other variety. BÖEN is character-driven with a forward aromatic profile and flavors of plum and cherry, a little bit of tobacco and some tilled earth.” – Joe Wagner

Carne Humana Red $29.99
co-fermented and barrel-aged as a single blend. It’s color profile is deep scarlet with a slightly purplish-black core. Aromatics resemble blackberry, dark chocolate, sweet black licorice, sweet cherry, hints of black pepper and cured meat. The Palate has a hint of sweet tobacco, maple, cherry pie filling, black licorice and an enlivened, bright acidity on the entry that is quickly followed by rich and sweet dark fruits, dried cranberry and sweet oak, all with a lingering finish. It’s structure is rich and bold, but balanced by acidity and integrated tannin. We like to call it the genuine red blend.

Cline Zinfandel, Ancient Vines $19.99

91 points - The Wine Spectator, June 2018
"Lively and supple, with floral raspberry and fresh pepper aromas and sleekly appealing cherry and licorice flavors that glide lightly along the finish.” ~ TFThe 2016 Ancient Vines Zinfandel shows spicy, bright strawberry, with coffee and chocolate characters. Ripe fruit and soft tannins make this a mouth-coating rich vintage. Aging on new and used oak has lent this wine a subtle vanilla quality that nicely complements the explosive fruit notes. Enjoy now or cellar for 5 to 7 years.

The Beers!!

Commonwealth Wapatoolie Tropical IPA 4 pack $17.99
American IPA, 7.3% ABV, 90 IBU
This IPA delivers a sweet Pineapple, Mango nose with tropical flavors courtesy of a carefully selected house Brettanomyces yeast strain. Blond, full bodied, deceptively drinkable.

Commonwealth Big Papi Duble
 IPA 4 pack
 $17.99
Pours murky orange with thick dense white head that stands. Tons of lacing.  Mild aromas of pineapple and mango with a hint of malt. The aroma is light but you can tell this is a juicy IPA. Also picking up some grapefruit and a touch of orange. Wow this thing is juicy, it actually tastes almost like pineapple juice but not as syrupy. Lots of pineapple, mango, passionfruit. The taste is amazing. Medium bodied no sign of the 8% ABV ast all, I figured it would be pretty dry but it is not, very smooth. An excellent DIPA, wonderful flavors, the aroma just hints at what is waiting when you taste it.

Commonwealth Marvolo Imperial Chocolate Stout 4 pack $18.99
8.0% ABV, 4.25 RateBeer
Pours a near pitch black color with a finger of creamy tan head. The head settles into a thin film, leaving a few spots of lace along the way. The aroma brings notes of dark roasted malts, milk chocolate, caramel, and roasted coffee beans. The taste has a ton of caramel, dark roasted grains, espresso, and dark chocolate. The feel is medium-full bodied with lower carbonation. Creamy and smooth with a dry finish. Overall, a very good yet very straightforward stout. Comes exactly as advertised, with plenty of chocolate and dark malts, with a creamy, smooth body. Definitely worth drinking again.
