The Wines!!

Dedicato Contessa Carola Prosecco Extra Dry $ 14.99
11,5% ABV
Pale straw yellow with greenish hues.
Fragant floral and fruity perfumes with pleasant hints of golden apple and candied fruits.
Crisp, medium-bodied, harmonious with a delicious aromatic after-taste.
Ideal for the whole meal and excellent as an aperitif.

Savian Pinot Grigio $13.99

13.0% ABV
This wine is a delight to the eye with its many hues changing from pale yellow to its characteristic sand colour, as well as to the nose with its slightly fruity bouquet, accompanied by a light note of almonds. Soft and harmonious, slightly bitter in taste.

Corvina Veronese Brunelli $18.99

This unusual example of Corvina Veronese – the Veneto area’s most important grape variety, vinified on its own – is a successful expression of the family’s age-old traditional method of drying the grapes for a brief period. Corte Cariano is ideal with flavourful soups or dishes with mushrooms or truffle, fresh pasta dishes with meat sauces or richly flavoured red meat recipes.

   93 POINTS | James Suckling (Nov. 2016)

Chianti Rufina Fattoria Lavacchio$19.99
90% Sangiovese, 5% Lanaiolo Nero, 5% Ciliegiolo
It appears ripe plum in color and has a lot of earthy mineral aromas and flavours. It is medium to full bodied, with firm tannins and a hint of fruity notes and spices on the finish.
Serving suggestions: In its early years this wine is complimented with all food and when aged it is delicious with sauced meats, poultry and roasts.

Fontegalli Fattoria Lavacchio $29.99
60% Merlot, 40% Syrah
Fontegalli is the name of the well from which we extract our water. As water, the source of life and the element of absolute quality, this wine represents our research for purity and quality without compromises or limits. The result is a wine of great elegance and intensity, capable of fascinating even the finest palates.
The appearance is a deep plum hue with a luxurious velvety texture. It has a rich and complex palate with fantastic length, with fruity concentrated overtones of blackberry, vanilla and oak.
Serving suggestion: It pairs best with roast beef, game and matured cheeses.

The Beers!!

Commonwealth Papi Chulo IPA 4 pack $17.99
"I don’t know the exact blend of hops that have gone into this 6.5% ABV IPA, but I can tell you Papi Chulo carries a wonderful blend of tropical fruit flavors of mango, apricot, light melon, grapefruit and more. The brewery, however, hasn’t forgotten about what makes an IPA an IPA — the bitterness. At 54 IBU, the brew brings a solid hop bite to keep all of that fruitiness in check and reminder you this isn’t a fruit juice you’ve got in your glass. Not only is Papi Chulo and excellent IPA with well-rounded flavors, it also served as an excellent introduction to the Virginia brewery. The beer certainly has that modern, tropical lean to it, but the company hasn’t forgotten to bring the bite to the party. Without that hop bitterness the IPA would still be pretty tasty, but not nearly as refreshing or tasty. I may have originally been on a mission to pick up some malt-forward brews, but am glad I found this tasty IPA, as well."

Licking Hole Creek Nuclear Nugget Imperial Honey IPA 4 pack $15.99
" Darker amber orange color. Thin off-white head, leaving good dots of lace. Really nice, big piney resiny hop nose. Much bigger, more assertive hop than the 4 Pillars IIPA from these guys that we tried earlier. Lighter caramel malt here, light spiciness, and a good bit of honey to it. My first thought when I heard this was a DIPA with honey was of Hopslam, but this is much more piney and resiny, I think. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, moderate sweet. Alcohol works reasonably well. Just a very light warmth on the end. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. More slick texture. Pretty nice, big balanced DIPA. Nice longer resiny hoppy finish."

Licking Hole Creek Heir Apparent Imperial Stout $4 pack $16.99
"Aroma of cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa and maybe a chili pepper? Caramelized sugars. Definitely best at 50 degrees. Warm flavors of milk chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and a subtle spice of a chili or jalapeno pepper. Smooth and medium bodied in the mouth. Hides the ABV well (over 11%). Aftertaste is more cocoa, cinnamon with a hint of spicy pepper. Outstanding beer. Very similar to Mexican Cake. Top notch."
