Garnet colour tending to orange, fine scent reminiscent of violet, dry and harmonious flavour, very complex. Structure and importance do not take away from balance and harmony.
Garnet red wine tending toward orange, fine scent reminiscent of violet, dry and harmonious taste, very complex, body and substance do not take anything away from balance and harmony.

Michele Taliano Barbera 2013

"LABORIOSA" (THAT MEANS LABORIOUS) IS THE WINE BARBERA OF ALBA SUPERIOR WHOSE NICKNAME ASSUMES COM-PLEXITY AND WORK. THE GRAPES COME FROM WELL EXPOSED VINEYARDS OF BRIC MONTERSINO.If it is poured into a large glass, the Barbera d'Alba Superior "Laboriosa"shows an intense ruby red colour; it reveals a rich personality and a delicate elegant arome with a perfume of fruit, spices and vanilla.

Brunello di Montalcino Lionello Marchesi 2010

90+ Points Decanter
This award-winning Brunello di Montalcino is a really special wine; it will not disappoint if you like well developed Italian wines. It may need to be decanted because of a little sediment but also because its savoury aromas may need a little time to open up and reveal the underlying fruits. On the palate, there are many flavours - fruit including sour cherries, plums, red fruits - redcurrants and cranberries - plus spice, cedar, vanilla and a tomato-savouriness. The tannins have softened since this was tasted 'en primeur' by Decanter, i.e. before bottling. The wine has been aged in barrel for three years and then in bottle for a further year before release. It can be aged for much longer still if you can resist it but it is drinking very nicely now. It is a fine example of a well structured, traditional style Brunello, fine subtle tannins, juicy fruits and a medium-body.
FOOD PAIRING: The wine is substantial enough to cope with big meat dishes such as game, goose, steak, braised beef, offal and rustic stews. Mushroom dishes are a good match and milder cheeses including goats' and sheeps' cheese.

The Beers!!

Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Tampa 6 pack $12.99
7.5% ABV, 70 IBU
Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt whilst the ball travels at speeds up to 188mph! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dubbed this game, with its ball traveling at racecar speeds, “the merry game.” Tampa was once home to a bustling Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century. Pair Jai Alai India Pale Ale with beef empanadas, deviled crabs and other spicy dishes.

Collective Arts Radio The Mothership DIPA, Ontario 4 pack $16.99
Pours a lighter golden with a slight orange tinge,a thinner white head atop.Mango and tangerine aromas really stand out in a fruity nose,a smattering of sweet onion comes in as well.Tangerine driven fruity flavors with more of that sweet onion and a little bitter bite in the finish,a decent amount of sugary sweetness is there but doesn't take over the beer. An NEIPA no doubt, nice fruitiness but not overly sweet.

Bell's Expedition Stout 6 pack $22.99

10.5% ABV
One of the earliest examples of Russian Imperial Stouts in the United States, Expedition Stout offers immensely complex flavors crafted specifically with aging in mind. A huge malt body is matched with a heady blend of chocolate, dark fruit and other aromas. The flavors will slowly meld and grow in depth as the beer ages in your cellar.
