The Wines!!

Francis Blanchet Pouilly-Fumé Silice 2017 $19.99
Sauvignon Blanc from Pouilly-Fumé is characterized by an unmistakable smoky, flinty aroma—indeed, “fumé” means “smoked” in French. The wine is crisp and light on the tongue, with flavors of Meyer lemons and limes.
Long before “silex” was made into a brand name, it was simply the term used to describe the type of soil found in the best vineyards in the Loire. Since the early 1990s, Francis Blanchet has been bottling wine from 100% silex vineyards.
Fine chalk, struck flint, white pepper, and damp stones lead the charge, along with racy fruit aromas of grapefruit, white peach, green apple, yellow flowers, fresh-cut limes, lemon zest, honeysuckle, and a touch of green papaya. As always with Blanchet’s Pouilly-Fumé, it’s brimming with fresh, creamy layers of delicate fruit.

Bastide de Beuavert Cotes du Rhone 2016 $13.99
The grapes for Bastide de Beauvert are grown primarily on the hillsides and terraces in the village of St. Victor la Coste where the soil is composed of limestone and river rocks.  In comparison to the more austere wines from the left bank of the Rhône, wines from this area are known for their softness, body, and aromatic profile.  Bastide de Beauvert is a clean and pretty expression of Grenache and Syrah.

Spann Vineyards "Betsy's Bachacher" NV Lot 11 $17.99
40% Syrah, 32% Zinfandel, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Barbera.
Betsy's Backacher is dark red in color, has a rustic nose of red cherries and
plums with a touch of licorice and a taste that follows:juicy red cherries and black licorice
with no harsh tannins. We love to create interesting blends and our multi-varietal, multi-vintage Backacher gives us the freedom to explore all possibilities. We start with the lighter-bodied, earlier maturing barrels that don't fit into our fuller bodied blends and add richness by blending in syrah.  From there we experiment with small portions of other grape varieties to add complexity.  Each Backacher lot is a slightly different blend but the idea is the same, an eminently enjoyable, richly flavored, fruit-forward wine.  The older vintage wine in this blend gives complexity and smoothness while the younger lots add bright fruit aromas and flavors.

Reynold's Family Estate Cabernet 2015 $ 65.99
"Our motto here at Reynolds family Winery is “Drink American,” Cabernet and Merlot are both staples in any American cellar and Persistence; well that’s what this country was founded on!
“Energy & Persistence conquer all things” -Benjamin Franklin
Our 9-1/2 acre home vineyard sits in the shadow of Atlas Peak, just south of Stags Leap, where it enjoys cool breezes from San Pablo Bay to the south. The growing conditions here are ideal for producing big, rich, complex wines.
The vineyard was first planted it in 1996 using “bench grafted vines” which were quite new back then. With bench grafting, the plants are raised at the nursery for one to two years before planting. This cuts about a year off the vine’s development, allowing it to deliver usable fruit in its fourth leaf rather than its fifth.
The estate is planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon. We grow three clones – 337, 4 and Weimar – on two root stocks: 110R and 3309. The vines are trained in the double cordon method on a single fruiting wire and cordons trained to either side of the trunk. This configuration prevents excessive sunlight exposure so the sugars dont run up before the grapes get a chance to fully ripen. During the growing season we drop close to half of the fruit to select only the best clusters and keep the vines in balance.

We make but a single wine from this vineyard, our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Production runs between 1,100 and 1,400 cases, depending on the year.
Appellation-Napa Valley Vineyard-Reynolds Family Estate
Varietal-96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot
Fermentation-67% tank, 18% open-top barrel, 15% bin
Cooperage-22 months, 60% neutral French Oak, 20% new French Oak

Burmester Jockey Club Reserve Tawny $25.99
With more finesse and complexity than many a 10 year, this Lodge Reserve from Burmester is a knock out.  Spending an average of seven years in barrel before blending, the port  is a classic tawny in color with some well defined orange highlights. In the nose it reveals caramel, vanilla and fruit aromas. In the mouth it is strong, round and sweet, with good acidity and slightly spicy. Intense caramel and ripe fruit.  Delicious.   Elegant tin perfect for gifting this season.

The Beers!!

Peak Organic Winter IPA 6 pack $12.99
Winter IPA is a hazy, hop-bursted New England Style IPA, brewed to brighten things up a bit as the colder weather sets in. Infused with a juicy blend of Calypso, Azacca, Simcoe, and Citra hops, we hope this beer helps keep you warm and happy as we wait for Spring.

D'Achouffe N'Ice Chouffe 4 pack $14.99
N’Ice CHOUFFE is a strong, brown beer that will warm you in the depths of winter. Spicy (thyme and curaçao) and tinged with hops, this is a very balanced beer. N’Ice CHOUFFE is an unfiltered beer which is refermented in the bottle and in barrels.

SixPoint 4 Beans Bourbon /Rye Barrel Porter 4 pack $16.99
The original 3BEANS recipe came from ancient texts which described Baltic brewers making beer with beans. For this special barrel-aged version of 3BEANS, the Mad Scientists carefully calibrated the beer with cold brew coffee, rich chocolate, and notes of oak and bourbon to round out the profile.
Barrel-Aged 4Beans, a imperial porter brewed with Madagascar vanilla beans, cacao husks Romano beans and coffee beans before being aged in both bourbon and rye whiskey barrels.
Taste is heavy bourbon, but very smooth with the coffee being the real winner in the trio of beans. For those confusing this with a BA RIS, don't. It's a BA porter and is very nice for the style.
