Soft, elegant pink between pink and salmon color. In the scent biscuit, nutty spice, delicate strawberry-raspberry touch, elegant herbal background. Combines fruit and acidity from the white wine with berry aromas on the palate, elegant tartness and creamy substance from the blue grapes, harmonious and yet piquant, elegant and yet animating, pleasant pressure in the finish, fine persistence.
Strauss Classic Sauvignon Blanc $17.99
Classic stands for freshness, fruit- driven wines of typical Styrian origin. It is produced of grapes cultivated in numerous small vineyards in the wine growing region in southern Styria. It is grown on a sandy loam soil with lime included. Intensive flavors of elderflower, citrus notes, grapefruit and nutmeg on the palate, with a long citrus fruit, pineapple and rose petal aftertaste. The ideal aperitif. Aromatic, ripe red apple and melon notes appear first on the nose,
but are underpinned by a savory streak of salty yeast.
The palate brings the yeastiness to the fore, giving a lovely creamy texture.
The flavor is fresh, but mellow. A beautiful departure from Chardonnay with weight, structure and a lasting finish.
Ruttenstock Gruner Veltliner 1L $12.99
Almost Sauvignon Blanc like, this Grüner has a very aromatic tropical nose,
some citrus, classic white pepper and a clean crisp finish.
Steininger Zweigelt $16.99
Vanilla and cinnamon play around blueberry and cherry notes on the nose.
The medium palate makes most of that oaky spice, giving another boost to the cinnamon aroma and that vanilla smoothness. The finish is dry and fresh.
Jalits Eisenberg Blaufrankisch DAC $19.99
Inviting aromas of raspberries, cherries, and blackberries. Good fruit on the palate and juicy with some herbs and spices. Classic Eisenberg mineral notes, elegant body, and a clean finish. Good length.
