The Wines!!
Hydra Vernaccia di San Gimignano $24.99

Il Palagione is an historic farmstead dating back to 1594, set along the scenic road connecting San Gimignano to Volterra. San Gimignano is commonly referred to as the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages”. Certified Organic, The Vernaccia di San Gimignano Hydra (made with organic fruit), is light and luminous in appearance with simple aromas of white peach, melon, a note of raw almond and crushed mineral. The wine is snappy and streamlined in terms of mouthfeel with a bright and compelling personality. But don’t drink it too cold. Give it some time out of the fridge before drinking. Or start drinking and note how the exchange becomes less slap and sting, and more kiss and lick as temperatures rise. If you talk to Giorgio Comotti who spends every day of the year in the vineyard to follow his Vernaccia,
he will tell you that perfumes are everything … Great job Giorgio!
Your wines are a triumph of fruit and flowers, delicate aromas, cheerfulness and elegance.

Food  pairing: excellent aperitif accompanied by finger food or snacks, bruschetta, pasta dishes, salads, chicken all fish, crustaceans, fried food and fresh cheeses.

Ori Vernaccia Riserva di San Gimignano $29.99
Wine produced exclusively from Vernaccia grapes.
Pressing is preceded by a 48-hours cold maceration, followed by fermentation initially in steel and then refinement of a portion in wood and the rest on lees with weekly pumping-over and bâtonnages.
Once bottled is bottle-refined for at least 3 months.

Punset Barbera D'Alba $27.99
Punset is an innovator when it comes to organic wine. Inheriting the estate in 1982, Marina Marcarino is a fifth generation winemaker, and she took her estate to the future whilst preserving age-old traditions. The grapes, cultivated according to organic farming methods, are carefully selected and harvested by hand, in perforated crates, and pressed, removing the stalks. In order to obtain a pleasant and harmonious wine, the harvest is delayed as much as possible. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with the help of indigenous yeasts. After soft racking, malolactic fermentation concludes the wine-making process; the wine is aged in cement tanks for a few months, at least until the first warmth, when it is prepared for bottling. The ruby red color accompanies pleasant aromas of red berry fruit, intense and harmonious. The fruity aroma is also very evident on the palate, characterized by a not very intense acidity and a dry and clean finish. The pleasantness of this product is given by its frankness and typicality, so evident also thanks to the total absence of wood.

Vietti Nebbiolo Perbacco $29.99
Medium deep ruby color. Quite intense and generous fruity nose (red berries) along with floral and spicy notes, a hint of menthol and hard candy. On the pallet medium bodied, showing notable intensity while retaining an essentially mid-weight style. Strong, intense and quite powerful when young, evolving to a complex and elegant, very well balanced wine with ageing. The tannins are harmoniously integrated in the fruit structure of the wine. Long lasting aftertaste with good freshness.
Pair with hearty stew, wild game, roasted red meats and sharp, aged cheeses.
