Medium garnet red with a touch of crimson. Expressive aromas of dried cherries and floral notes along with a hint of vanilla, leather and sweet spice. The wine showcases a texture that balances the naturally high acidity of Sangiovese with its ripe red fruit flavors and firm tannins.
Castello di Monastero Chianti Superiore $22.99
This wine is made from 85% Sangiovese grapes with 15% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and is refined for seven months in small oak barrels. This Chianti Superiore is an all-meal wine: its dry bouquet has hints of vanilla, with a persistent and harmonious taste.
