Metro Cellars Wines
with
Andrea Wallace

Margerum Riviera Rose', Santa Barbara
$21.99
Dry, crisp on the palate and very persistent.
Fruitiness balanced with a touch of mouth-watering acidity and plenty of verve.
A full-bodied wine which is a perfect spring and summer sipper.
It has just enough seriousness to pair with the right foods.??????
Color: Very pale orange and pink.
Aroma: Lively red fruit aromas of strawberry and watermelon with a hint of minerality.

Margerum Sybarite Sauvignon Blanc, Happy Valley Santa Barbara $21.99
The word SYBARITE is derived from Sybaris, an ancient Greek city in southeastern Italy noted for the luxurious, pleasure seeking behavior of many of its inhabitants.
SYBARITES are people who have a fondness for sensuous luxury.
This wine is crafted from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the rolling hills of the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA at McGinley Vineyard, Grassini Vineyard, Star Lane Vineyard and Happy Canyon Vineyard.
Color:  slight gold hues, green tinged, bright and vibrant.
Aroma: Lifted perfume of grapefruit, honeyed quince, white flower blossom, toast, creamy lemon and some plantain,
layered with a slight hint of gunflint and fruity Sauvignon.
Palate: Rich creamy and full with layers of pear, grapefruit, and passion fruit.
This wine is perfect to serve as an aperitif, we like it with shellfish and salads,
of course, it works well with a selection of your favorite cheeses.
Also good at the end of a meal as a refreshing alternative to sweet wines.

Stangeland Pinot Noir, Eola Hills Cuvee' $29.99
A textbook example of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, Stangeland continues to set the standard for the region. Brilliant magenta.  Musky, spice-tinged dark berry and cherry pit aromas, along with hints of licorice and cola.  Plush and open-knot, offering jammy blackberry and cherry compote flavors that are sharpened by a suggestion of cracked pepper.  Supple tannins come in slowly on the clinging finish,
which leaves a suggestion of blackberry liqueur behind.

Blue Rock "Baby Blue" $32.99
This juicy wine is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot,
with smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Syrah, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.
Grippy, youthful tannins lend structure and length around tones of integrated oak, rich blueberry and strawberry.

The Beers!!
Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail IPA, 6 pack 12 oz. $15.99
12% ABV
Did you like Before, During, & After Christmas?
Maybe you thought it poured brilliantly, and you loved of the arrogant amounts of hops wowed you.
This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscene amount of hops that went down this explosive fella.
It’s a tour de force in hoppiness and by far the craziest beer made by Evil Twin… but not the last.

Lone Pine Brightside IPA, 4 pack 16 oz. $16.99
ABV: 7.1%
Dubbed an American IPA, Brightside features a euphoric blend of American hops, providing notes of citrus and ripe melon. Behind this resides a balanced bitter backbone reminiscent of the West Coast school of IPA. Brightside features a deep golden body with a light unfiltered haze.
Complex, but balanced and gentle, it is a perfect marriage of the most prominent styles of India Pale Ale.
Between West Coast and East Coast, Old School and New School, exists Brightside IPA, a measured expression of the American IPA.

The Bruery "Goses are Red",
4 pack 16 oz. $18.99
ABV: 5.6%
This is a rosé - and a gose - by any other name.
Goses are Red is a stylish match of a funky, crisp and tart gose with the soft sweetness of a rosé wine. The refreshing wheat-based beer begins with some of the qualities you’d expect from a gose, including coriander spicing and a light saltiness to complement the tartness imparted by our house cultures. But the story doesn’t end there -
it builds in complexity, thanks to time spent in an oak foeder and the addition of grapes, which impart a refreshing rosé character and color. It’s a charming interpretation that says all the right things, but it’s not as sweet as you.
