BLUE ROCK "BABY BLUE" SAUVIGNON BLANC, SONOMA  $29.99
Aromas of white peach, orange blossom, honey suckle and lemongrass all seamlessly integrated and harmonious.
The palate has flavors of grapefruit, lychee w/ subtle minerality.
The texture is rich without feeling heavy and balanced by refreshing acidity. 


CASA CASTILLO MONASTRELL, JUMILLA $15.99

This Monastrell is pure Monastrell. The grapes come from sandy vineyards on the valley floor, and they fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and a shortish maceration. The wine matured in 500-liter oak barrels and 5,000-liter oak vats for nine months.More grapes from old vines that were used before for the Vino de Finca, which was discontinued. This wine is very aromatic, elegant, expressive and reaching a level I have not seen before in this wine. It's refreshing, light, balanced, nuanced, with velvety tannins and very clean, really transcending its price point. Balanced is the word, and it's also available and affordable and sets the tone for the 2020s.

Simultaneously bold and balancd, rich and smooth, fruit forward and earthy.
It is impossibly dark and full-bodied, without ever going over the top.
It's deeper ruby/purple hue is followed by a ripe, textured, yet still complex, cool-climate-like
Syrah that has lots of peppery herbs, smoke game, and assorted spices.


BLUE ROCK CABERNET SAUVIGNON, NAPA VALLEY $54.99
A deep red-hued purple in the glass, the nose offers an intriguing interplay between dark red and black fruits and the savory, spicy, sweet tobacco side of Cabernet. The palate is mouthcoating, rich and full, celebrating the bold fruit California is so famous for, all while showcasing the wonderful balance and refinement that are the hallmarks of Blue Rock Estate. Perfect for pairing with filets, short ribs, shanks - all red meats, be they grilled, braised or stewed. Red wine reduction sauces with rosemary, bay, dried currants or savory, earthy mushrooms are always a welcome addition. Plus rich cheeses such as gorgonzola, sharp cheddar and most aged hard cheeses, either on their own or to top off the meal.
