La Bioca has a pure nose, yet with some aged characters like dried fruit, dried cherry. There is a spiciness like orange zest, plum, some tobacco. Some spicy notes like anise seed and herbs. Palate keeps within the medium-bodied frame. It is showing some roasted oak on the palate. Tannins are fairly integrated considering the style. There are already developed flavors like, dried or candied red fruit, with that spiciness of pepper, clove and orange zest. Long finish. A wine that should open up nicely within the coming two to three years. Then keep for much longer than that. Serve with raised and roast red meats, game, dishes served with truffles, hard and mature cheeses.
