On the nose, this wine opens with hawthorn, acacia honey and gunflint. Beautiful development in the glass with a very noble tertiary. On the palate, the wine is beautifully smooth, with a formidable persistence of lime blossom and frangipane. Pairs beautifully with wild sea bass en papillote, white Maranges, lemon caviar, mint and pink berries.
The “Maranges” appellation lies south of Santenay in the southernmost part of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Chavy-Chouet manages an attractive parcel at the bottom of the appellation slope, facing south-west, called “Les Meurées”. Aged 10 months in the barrel.

Rocking honeyed orange, citrus, white flowers, and spicy wood notes all emerge from the 2022 Maranges Blanc Les Meurées, a lively, medium-bodied, nicely balanced white that has bright yet integrated acidity and a clean, classy style that should evolve nicely for 4-6 years.
