Each Friday we try to start your weekend off with a sampling of fine wines and beers that will allow you to relax into your "days off" with a positive note. Always a gathering of friends and neighbors and good conversation.

"Baby" Prosecco, Veneto $12.99
A fresh, young (hence the name BABY!) juicy Prosecco featuring subtle aromas of flowers and ripe fruit, with refreshing acidity that is well integrated with flavors and effervescence. 

Rocche Costamagna Winery

From the cantina and villa of Rocche Costamagna tucked directly on top of the city wall of La Morra, one can view the Rocche Costamagna vineyards stretching down the hill and toward the valley. Alessandro Locatelli, owner and winemaker, has enthusiastically taken the helm of his grandfather and great grandfather’s wine estate.  These wines are exquisitely made in the traditional style of  the region of Piemonte.

Arneis, Langhe $14.99
It is obtained from Arneis grapes, an indigenous vine of Piedmont. 
After a soft pressing and low temperature fermentation , it remains on the lees for at least four months. 
The wine has a fruity aroma with notes of pear, tropical fruits and notes of wild flowers, and is fresh and mineral on the palate.

Dolcetto D'Alba, Vendemmia $17.99
It is a classic Dolcetto d'Alba, suitable for everyday consumption. The nose has fruity hints of maraschino cherry, the palate is broad and soft, with delicate and persistent aromas and a characteristic slight aftertaste that reminds of almond.

"Annunziata" Barbera D'Alba $18.99
It is a selection of Barbera grapes coming exclusively from the vineyard in Verduno, Neirane area. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and for one year in bottle. It is characterized by great structure and complexity, with notes of vanilla and chocolate that evolve over time towards the spicy. It is produced only in the best years.

"Roccardo" Nebbiolo $19.99
Obtained solely from Nebbiolo grapes, the vinification is traditional, with eight days maceration followed by 
an aging of 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels . The aroma is intense, with notes of raspberry and blackberry, the palate is elegant and harmonious and is distinguished by its soft tannins. It is a versatile wine, to drink throughout the meal.
