The Wines!!

HOPLER GRUNER VELTLINER 2016, AUSTRIA $17.99
Spicy fresh hay, pear and mineral-like aromas with multi layered, juicy fruits and white pepper in the  finish.
Harvested from 34 vineyards stretching from Jois to Purbach on the Leitha hills.
Particularly good when served with cold starters, sushi, pastas, delicate salads or as an aperitif.
Residual Sugar: 2.2g/l       Acidity: 6.98g/l       Alcohol: 11.5%
The Höpler winery is located in Breitenbrunn on the western banks of lake Neusiedl, in the Austrian province of Burgenland. 46 hectares of cultivated vineyards face south east between the ‘Leithagebirge’ hills and Lake Neusiedl. This creates a warm, humid microclimate where grapes of the highest quality flourish. In addition the contrasting soils of chalk, gravel and sand are rich in calcium as well as in slate and contribute to the unique complexity and character of the wines.

MASSERIA DEL FEUDO GRILLO 2016, SICILY (ORGANIC) $13.99
"Inviting scents of hay and chamomile lead the nose while the succulent palate offers juicy lemon, mature apple, peach and Mediterranean herb. Bright acidity lifts the finish." Wine Enthusiast

This surprisingly silky white is a real showcase for Sicliy's volcanic soils and abundant sunshine.  A one of a kind, terroir-driven delight that works as an aperitif or alongside numerous Mediterranean dishes.

PETIT BALTHAZAR PAYS D'OC CINSAULT ROSE 2017, FRANCE $10.99
"GREAT VALUE:  This delightful, inexpensive rosé is a tremendous value vintage after vintage. It features flavors of tart melons, orange peel and bitter herbs. With just a little imagination, you might even taste sunshine. Enjoy this by itself or with spicy, garlicky foods. ABV: 11 percent." ** Washington Post

BAGORDI "USOA DE BAGORDI" RIOJA TINTO 2015, SPAIN (ORGANIC) $10.99
Appearance: Ripe cherry red in color, full bodied, rim with violet flashes. Shows up clear and bright.
Bouquet: Aroma of mature dark and red fruit, well balanced with touches of spices, clove and black pepper. Balsamic and understated.
Taste: Refreshing and full of flavor. The dark fruit is noticeable in the nose. Good structure with a long finish.  Wild berries, cranberries, blackberries matched and accompanied by some chewy tannins.

RECORBA WINERY TINTO JOVEN RIBERA DEL DUERO 2015, SPAIN $10.99
"Creamy berry, dust and loamy aromas form a chunky but steady nose. This is plush, deep and jammy in feel, with blackberry and herbal flavors running smoothly on a thick palate. On the finish, this is peppery in taste, with a light herbal undercurrent."   A lovely medium-weight red with bright red and black fruit aromas and hints of spice, leather, and tobacco.
