The Wines!!

Tegernseerhof T 26 Grüner Veltliner 2016 Federspiel®  $15.99                                                                                The vineyard is called Frauenweingarten. When we tasted this wine the first time in 2006 it was in tank #26. Very aromatic, full of round fruit balanced with crisp acidity. The distinct soil lends a pleasant minerality, while the tropical fruit play is balanced with a white pepper note typical of this varietal. Pairs well with a wide range of foods including Asian cuisine and fish with fresh herbs.

Heinrich Hartl Rotgipfler 2016 $19.99

“Aromatic, ripe red apple and melon notes appear first on the nose but are underpinned by a savory streak of salty yeast. The palate brings the yeastiness to the fore, giving a lovely creamy texture. The finish is fresh but mellow.”

Anton Bauer Wagram Cuvee 2015 $17.99

“Austrian Winemaker of the year 2017”

40% Blaufrankisch   40% Zweigelt  15% Cabernet Sauvignon  5% Merlot

Cherry fruit with amaretto tones, red berries and herbs. On the palate cherry fruit again, with dark berry aromas and apleasant background of herbs, good extract fruit, fine soft tannin. It finishes with a dry elegance and delicately herb tones of chocolate and cherries. Although absolutely delicious on its own, it will complement beef, duck, grilled pork, tuna, and rich red sauces.

Leo Hillinger Pinot Noir Eveline 2015 $19.99
Pinot Noir from Austria! It has a typical Pinot Noir nose with strawberries, raspberries and floral notes such as violets. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied. It has intense notes of herbs and puréed dark berries. The wine has typical Burgundy structure with soft tannins, a juicy ripeness and an elegant, long finish.

Leo Hillinger Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC 2014 $34.9
The Leithaberg DAC has a dark ruby red with a black core. Ripe cherry, blackberry, graphite, licorice, and spicy notes. Fresh cherry-fruits on the plate, soft, tight structure.
"A wine with elegant tannin, good acidity, dark berries and good spice on the long smooth finish. This wine matches more than perfectly to grilled steaks, lamb and venison."

The Beers!!

Maine Beer Peeper Pale Ale 500 ml $6.99
5.2% ABV
After a few years of home brewing in our garage, my brother and I decided we should open a brewery so that we could share our beer. In 2009 we started with a one barrel system and worked on a single recipe, over and over, until Peeper was born. And now we have enough to share. Cheers!

LIGHT CITRUS, RASPBERRIES, BLACKBERRIES, SUBTLE PINE, LIGHT BREADY
HOPS: AMARILLO, CASCADE, CENTENNIAL
MALT: AMERICAN 2-ROW, CARAPILS, VIENNA, RED WHEAT

Evil Twin "Even While They Teach" IPA 4 pack $21.99

7.0% ABV
A good amount of tropical fruit (guava, pineapple), lots of malt (surprisingly so), a good amount of hops, a hint of the floral quality, and a little citrus (orange, in particular). At first it kind of tastes like a an English IPA - heavy on the malt, light on the hops - but then the fruit kicks in. It's oddly tasty after that.

Captain Lawrence "Golden Delicious" Triple IPA, Aged in Apple Brandy barrels 4 pack $20.99

ABV:10%
There’s nothing quite like Mom’s apple pie…but I’m willing to bet this beer’s pretty darn close. An American Tripel, dry-hoped with Amarillo hop and aged in Apple Brandy oak barrels from one of this country’s oldest distilleries. The tropical aroma of the hops and the delicate apple aroma from the barrels are a perfect match. Straight from the Captain’s cellar to yours, we hope you enjoy.
