L'ISOLA DEI PROFUMI BLANCO SICILIA $12.99
Organic Wine
This is our idea of Sicilian white wine ready to drink. Isola dei Profumi white is a cool blend, great for lounge aperitifs, a wine that enhances the heat, tempered by the winds, typical of our area. The grapes are harvested by hand, the musts are fermented in temperature controlled and the wines aged in stainless steel vats. During the tasting you can see the bright straw yellow color and hints of Mediterranean fresh fruits. This wine is young and well harmonic.
We suggest pairing with aperitifs and fish dishes.
GRILLO SICILIA $13.99
Marsala grapes for excellence, they grow with great structure and minerals. Harvested by hand in small boxes, they are de-stemmed and gently pressed. The fermentation is controlled at a constant temperature of 16/18° C and aging takes place in stainless steel vats for more than 6 months. After bottling they are stored for at least a month before being marketed.
Straw yellow in colour with greenish tinges, it is a distinctly intense and persistent wine. It has a strong bouquet of yellow fruits with delicate nuances of citrus fruits and herbs. It has great freshness and is tangy on the palate.
It is ideal paired with salads, soups and cous cous.
NERO D'AVOLA $13.99
Sicilian origins, grown typically of inland hilly areas, the grapes of the Nero d’Avola express all the Sicilian terroir. Harvested by hand in small boxes, de-stemmed and macerated at a controlled temperature between 24 and 27° C. Aging takes place in stainless steel vats and french oak barrels for 6 months. Stored one month in bottle before being marketed.
This wine is intense ruby red in colour. It is characterised by an embracing aroma with strong notes of red-berried fruits in perfect harmony with notes of spices and vanilla. It is rich, ample and persistent on the palate with a distinct but pleasant note of freshness, which is typical of this grape variety. It is ideal served with asparagus based dishes, soups and grilled peppers.
"NARKE DEI POETI" NERO D'AVOLA/CAB SAV BLEND $24.99
Our strong Sicilian red, an elegant wine born of a delicate choice from our cru vineyard. Harvested by hand in small crates, the grapes are de-stemmed and fermented with the skins in temperature controlled fermentation for 10 days at a temperature between 26 and 28° C, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for about a year. The aging is completed in bottle for about 6 months.During the tasting you can see the colors, deep reds and violet reflexes are evident, combined with pleasing hints of cloves and cinnamon. Full and harmonious, containing considerable balance between sweetness and acidity. We recommend enjoying with stews, braised meats and wild game.
