From the Puglia region (the Bootheel) of Italy. Cesanese is the red of choice in Rome, while Frascati is the white.  Deep Burgundy in color. Red Fruit aromas are supported by a meaty smokiness. Very soft red fruit on the palate with a soft finish. A mouth-filling ruby red wine, spicy and complex with a nose of mature red berries, plum, and kitchen spices. Aged 8 months in French barriques for a soft, spicy finish. Cesanese is a native grape, considered the Roman Red due to its history of growing wild on the countryside of Rome, in Lazio.
